Zoom in to see pores. GM interiors do not disappoint! :P

I feel like I could've had a chance at a job early on at the Bowling Green plant with these quality control skills.

Eeehh...
Sometimes they do.
I'll give your leather the benefit of the doubt though.

Haha that was maximum sarcasm there. Someone stupid enough to compliment GM's interiors should be immediately banished from the planet. Anyways, it's one of three places on the car with leather: seats, shift boot, and steering wheel.

I complement their interiors all the time D:
They can do good interiors sometimes. See 2009 Vue.

that's actually quite nicely designed, but as a whole the interiors are generally pretty poor efforts. They have gotten far better over the years, though.

Better issue a recall for steering wheels because it tore.

Oh definitely, but who's haven't?
Maybe Ferrari. LEATHER WRAPPED EVERYTHING.

"That could KILL someone. GM is such a monster!" - some guy, probably named Bob

Seriously though, one glance at this work and they'd have no choice but to take you on. Advanced/secret development is the department for you.

And owns a third hand Chevy Cobalt he got for $1500 from Jim

Lol, the steering wheel is one of two things in the car that is actual leather, the other being the shift knob.

it may look good but I can guarantee it wont feel good.

I sit in this same interior minus the leather seats almost daily, it feels perfectly fine. It feels upscale actually, considering my parent's $22k price of entry.

weird most GM interiors are 110% hard plastic. Like sitting inside a Buzz Lightyear action figure.
see last gen Silverados. My old boos had one. It was a top of the line 2500, and everything but the leather seats felt like it belonged in a Saturn.
![]() 06/07/2014 at 01:51 |
|
The entire top of the dash and doors in the Saturn are soft materials. There's cloth inserts in the doors, and everything feels screwed together really tight. Anything that's plastic is quality plastics.
This is pretty much the case for every late Saturn. They had their shit together.

So the 50k chevy pickup felt like a Saturn, but the Saturn actually feels nice. Irony
![]() 06/07/2014 at 01:54 |

Yup, pretty much. Yet who got the axe in the end?
The people who had their shit together and knew how to build a quality product.

thumbs up, for not using one of those gigantic lace-on replacement covers!
![]() 06/07/2014 at 16:05 |

Haha, thanks. I figure I'll buy a Nardi/Momo eventually, so I'm not going to offend the masses with a gas station special. Also, because racecar (although it's the wrong color for that). These steering wheels are the 1984 equivalent of the C6's, so there's no point in leaving on a rough one...

Those look to be good quality. I'm replacing the wheel down the road, but I'd get a cover if the original C4 steering wheel were better to use.

We are spoiled with the stuff. You can only smell a little smoldering rubber on a warm, sunny day with the top off. On a better note, half of the ancient pencil from the dealer the car was bought at in Stockton, CA was under the seat.
